AP: The Price of Words

When you a preparing your PowerPoints a few years from now, you will be looking to illustrate the case of Associated Press charging for content excerpts, and here is where you will find a screenshot of the licensing webform. As with other commodities, bulk-buying words results in savings: from .5 to .2 cents apiece as you move from the first to the last bundle.

If you are wondering how AP monitors re-blogged content -- they work with Attributor (see last year's press release).

From "Through the Looking-Glass":
Alice thought to herself, "Then there's no use in speaking." The voices didn't join in this time, as she hadn't spoken, but to her great surprise, they all THOUGHT in chorus (I hope you understand what THINKING IN CHORUS means -- for I must confess that I don't), "Better say nothing at all. Language is worth a thousand pounds a word!"
